Across Orange County, nonprofits are bringing their strengths, expertise, and resources together to better serve their communities. OC+ is designed to help partners take that work further, turning a shared vision into a more connected, coordinated, and sustainable way of working together.
Turning a shared vision into action takes time, capacity, and resources. Partners may need dedicated staff capacity, shared systems, technology, legal or financial expertise, or other infrastructure to build a new way of working together.
Through implementation grants of up to $500,000, the OC+ Fund invests in partners that know what they want to accomplish together, have defined how they will work together, and are ready to bring that vision to life.
In 2026, the Foundation is investing nearly $4.7 million in 10 collaborations bringing together 44 organizations across Orange County. In addition, the Foundation is providing $300,000 to the Orange County Community Foundation to support planning opportunities for nonprofit collaborations that may benefit from additional time and resources before moving toward implementation.
Together, these investments bring the Foundation's inaugural commitment to strengthening nonprofit collaboration through OC+ and related planning support to $5 million.
Each year, nonprofits across Orange County see opportunities to work together in ways that could strengthen services and expand their impact, but collaboration often requires dedicated resources to succeed.
By investing alongside OC+, funders can support partnerships that help nonprofits share expertise, improve efficiency, strengthen services, and achieve more together than they could alone. Together, we can strengthen the organizations that make Orange County thrive.
A thriving Orange County depends on strong nonprofits, and the OC+ Fund helps strengthen the sector by supporting nonprofit partnerships that improve services, increase efficiency, and expand their collective impact across the community. Updates on future OC+ Fund cycles will be shared at https://www.samueli.org/for-grantseekers/.
