The Trans Justice Funding Project (TJFP) is pleased to announce that in their tenth year of grantmaking, TJFP’s 2022 grantmaking fellows awarded $1.25 MILLION dollars in grants to 204 trans-led grassroots groups, projects, and organizations doing amazing, creative, and groundbreaking trans justice work across the US and US territories. Chapman University’s Annual Holocaust Art & Writing Contest welcomed more participants than ever this year, with 220 schools registered from 32 states and 11 different countries around the world. This year’s participation showed a significant increase in the number of international entries. 14 schools in Poland sent entries, and 1st prize recipients included students from South Africa and Romania, while students from Germany and Poland were finalists.

IEEE, the world’s largest technical professional organization for electrical and electronics engineers, has chosen Henry Samueli as the recipient of the 2021 IEEE Founders Medal. The namesake of UCLA Samueli School of Engineering and chair of the board of Broadcom Inc., Samueli is also a triple Bruin and an electrical and computer engineering professor at UCLA.

A new certification in Integrative Approaches to Chronic Pain Management is now available for physicians, clinical psychologists and other health care providers. This course offers new tools and new ways of thinking about chronic pain. It addresses the dissatisfaction of both patients and clinicians who are frustrated with current approaches to chronic pain. The course and the associated educational credits are available for free through the partnership with the Samueli Foundation.
